About
South Shropshire Voluntary Action was formed as a Charity in June 2000 and became fully operational in November 2000 as a result of a two-year investigation into the need for a local development agency in the district of South Shropshire.
SSVA is a Council of Voluntary Service (CVS) - an umbrella organisation with a membership made up of voluntary and community groups, providing services to ensure the well-being of the voluntary and community sectors. Its main focus is capacity building of the voluntary and community sectors.
