back to topWhat can volunteers do?

  • caring and befriending
  • give support and information
  • conservation;
  • driving;
  • teaching / training; manual work;
  • management; arts and crafts;
  • work with animals;
  • work with young people;
  • fundraising;
  • admin / office work;
  • shop work;
  • and much more!

All of these activities and many more can be experienced as a volunteer. Volunteering is a great way of making new friends, learning new skills, gaining valuable experience, travelling and having fun, volunteering is becoming more and more a viable way back into employment and education and a way to step back into the community. And all YOU have to do is give some time...as little as a couple of hours a week can make a huge difference to someone’s life and to your community.

We can have a chat in private and you can look at the variety of opportunities available. We are open 9.00a.m. to 4.30p.m. Monday to Friday. Or you could look at the opportunities on the the web site www.do-it.org.uk. This service is free to everyone. We are happy to advise you on any volunteering matters.
